Coronavirus Covid-19, Melatonin and Blue Light.

Why is case fatality rate of covid-19 high in elderly and low in children? Research shows Melatonin is highly protective of the lungs in response to pneumonia by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasomes[1]. As we age, melatonin naturally decreases. The elderly sleep less and sleep poorly. In young children melatonin is naturally high. Children sleep long and deep.

There is currently no recorded case fatality of children under 9yo. Young children also show little to no symptoms.

If you have strong melatonin levels regardless of age, the infectiousness of COVID-19 will be greatly reduced, and the chances of developing Acute Respiratory Distress significantly diminished.

Naturally produced Melatonin is better than supplemented melatonin.

The process of making it begins in the eye by the light it receives. Photoreceptors in your eye interpret wavelengths of light to trigger the hormonal cascade the produces melatonin. See the sunrise to optimise this process.

Then Melatonin is released at night after a few hours of darkness. Darkness is only so when there is an absence of blue and some green wavelengths of light.

Minimise lighting at night to maximise melatonin.

Wear your Rhythm Optics after sundown if you have to be around any light at night.
